The Maze

by Poetic Ninja aka Papachopchop   Jan 4, 2008

Take now a moment,
And enter my mind's eye,
The twisted Labyrinth within,
That reaches to the sky.

The paths are overgrown,
And the walls, riddled in vines,
Can you find the prize?
To this broken heart of mine?

Some routes are blocked,
Where admittance is denied,
Created from the sorrows,
Of those that made me cry.

Can you persevere,
And continue to retry?
To find the buried treasure,
Of this broken heart of mine?

Wow!!! This is truly wonderful. I loved this poem. It almost brought me to tears, and I'm not just saying that. The flow was off a little in some parts; but with the way you painted the picture of this poem, it wasn't that noticeable. This poem was very creative. It pulled me into it and held me captive. I think you did a wonderful job, but you just need to touch up a few words to make the flow better. Wonderful work though. I really think that you are going to be a great poet someday: and when it happens remember that I told you that you so first. : )

    Great Job!
