True friendship

by reckha   Jan 4, 2008

True friendship isn't a big thing brother
It is a million small things put together

Like ,

Not just coming for a fun ride in your car to town
But taking the bus with you when your car breaks down

Not just talking for hours when you are happy
But being able to put up with you even when your mood is snappy

Not just trying to console you when you are sad
But sitting by your side and feeling just as bad

Not just reading the newspaper after you have finished it
But reading the back half when you are reading the front bit

Not weighing his thoughts when looking at you
Not measuring his words when speaking to you

He might not be always perfect and true
But he will always be perfect and true to you

He can look at your eyes and read them well
He can understand your heart without any words to tell

He can touch your heart by reaching for your hand
He can make you laugh in a second as if with a magic wand

Well , this is true friendship for you
Which happens to may be only a very few

And if you have had one such friend since your birth
You are to me one of the luckiest men on earth.
