My perception of life

by reckha   Nov 26, 2007

Full of exuberance they run about and play
Always happy , never think beyond today
Their smile is always a picture of innocence
The whole wide world is their audience
Thats childhood folks - A bundle of joy

They set their goals and interests in everything
They wish all knowledge is grasped within
Every person who advices is looked at with belligerence
Misunderstood by the rest , they can be an annoyance
Thats youth folks - A bundle of zest

Fighting odds to make both ends meet
Here , enthusiasm and fun take a back seat
Youth and old age both sandwich them between
As a epitome of responsibility , they are always seen
Thats adulthood folks - A bundle of patience

At this point they are no more in demand
Wanting at times to go to the faraway land
Time to look back at the good and bad days
The fast life now starts moving at a slow pace.
Thats old age folks - A bundle of acceptance

The longer you live , the more you go through
However , letting go is the hardest to do
Everyday of our life so many memories are made
Lets ensure they are not thorns but a bed of roses that we have laid.

That summarises Life so well. Doesn't it? I don't think much is left on this topic for other poets to write about!
