Two Rulers of This Heart

by haunted   Jan 6, 2008

The concealed anger and sorrow of mine will never come out, will it?
Leave me to cry alone, as my heart is captivated, drowned, shattered.
Each time this heart screams, a whip slashes it to make it hide even more of the pain.
Woe and anger rule this frightened heart ;
Happiness may not be able to win.

Hot tears are the only way to help my heart.
Not even laughter could put out this big flame of sorrow and anger.
The bright light of blithe is now too weak to fight.
Everyday when I walk, it feels as though I'm carrying a big rock on my bare shoulders.
Each night I clutch at my chest and cry.

When I look in the mirror, in my eyes I see a girl.
A girl that is dying to be happy again.
The searing but sad look she has in her brown eyes.
It looked as if she almost drowned in a river.

I am still waiting for that bright light to recover.
Until then,
Sorrow and anger conquer my heart.
They are the
Two Rulers of This Heart.
