Reflection

Every once in a while
i look in a mirror
i try to smile
not to show any fear
i see right through me
see how fake i am
but nobody else does
nobody else can
whenever i laugh
i hear myself cry
locked in my room
my music so high
if anyone hears
i tell them theyre wrong
if they see my tears
i tell them it was the song
i wasnt always this way
as messed up as now
my reflection today
just shows me how
how much i could take
how little they care
how long til i break
how im already there
how he broke my heart
how they never knew
how we grew apart
how he started anew
how he left me alone
looking in mirrors
looking at no one
crying my tears

    Young or old we all have things we hide away in our hearts and minds. We can never know what someone else is going through. I have been surprised by some of the feelings hidden inside people i know. As they would be surprised by mine if i let my guard down. Ultimately, there comes a time when you have to decide whether to lock it away forever or let them out. I wish i could do the latter but its not easy to do. I can relate very much to your words.

    This is good! Short and simple! I would have liked it a bit more if it didnt have as many "how"s ...but its still great.. the hows show your creativity so i'm def not gunna crush it because i love it! lol great job! >3
