An Ode To Mom and Dad

by Kelvin Masi   Jan 8, 2008

Through the years, you've watched me grow. Through laughter and tears with highs and lows. We cannot stop time, nor change our past; for why should we, if we've done our best? Since i cannot say thank you for all you have done. I am forced to choose this, a very special one. Years ago, you let me go to exprience life my way; no trouble you showed me, your own fears tucked away. Even though it fell apart, it was a lesson i had to learn. No, it did not destroy me, for it took me down a wiser turn. Today i am smarter, with both feet on the ground; so thank you, Mom and Dad, for the new world i have found
