Fear less; hope more

by Behind Blue Eyes   Jan 15, 2008

When you finally decide
That you have had enough.
That you're tired of standing
And acting tough,
Why is that when life
Plays tricks on you?
When you're done
You're forced to push through.
Go through another round
Of being God's jester.
Billions of people in the world
And you're the one he sequesters

You were born to struggle,
You were born to handle strife.
God knew you were strong enough to live it,
That's why he gave you this life.
You seem to make it through
Changes, pain, and heartache.
But sometimes it just seems like
It's more than you can take
So to make it through, you sit and vent,
On paper, writing in rhyme.
Because you know that happiness has it's way
Of taking it's sweet time.

Great poem which covers how life is. I like the word usage and though it was simple, it was effective. I also liked how you put in God knowing that we can pull through it and therefore gave us life. Well done
