Speak Out Against Reality

The gas tank is empty, and the price went up again,
Damn, I should have known not to drive against the wind,
Weather man was wrong again, some things are never new,
I wonder when the sun will shine and get rid of my winter blues,

Smacked my arm against the door and the pain wont go away,
Broke that arm last week and the doctor said it will be OK,
Never try to go mail boxing with friends after you've been drinking,
It truly is a dangerous sport and does indeed require sober thinking,

Walking down the street one day I found a lucky penny,
Reminds me of the time I found my first , then realize it wasn't so lucky,
What a fluke I thought and realized I had been wrong,
Its not the object that held the power but the power inside that held all along,

Smacked my head on the clouds again, just couldn't come back down,
Its so funny that I keep searching for the things I've already found,
Took a shower in the rain today then changed into my snuggly clothes,
So many lessons to learn when I realized I had gotten a cold.

Again, the beginning is amazing. The last two stanzas... I dunno. A little awkward to me. Good, though. The first three are fantastic.
