The secret of despair

by resisting reason   Jan 15, 2008

The secret lies beneath the sleeve
The secret hides within
Under the scars and beside the grief
With a soundtrack of violins

That sweet serenade of sorrow
Tells no lies
And on the eve of the morrow
tomorrow dies

This is where emptiness begins
And terror is born
This is when hunger sets in
And your feelings gets torn

This is when scars are made
And blood is set free
Under the blade
You can find relieve

But what little comfort it gives
Just doesn't seem to last
You can cut through your skin
But you cant forget your past

Your only escape
Is to turn to wards the despair
Face to face
You must not be scared

Open wide, your bleeding heart
And let despair fill the hole
That was left there when you fell apart
When you tore out your soul

Breathe it in and you'll know no lies
The secret hides within
And only when you're about to die
Will the healing begin

And finally when you've accepted your past
And breath in clear air
You'll see that nothing lasts
Even despair

Very good. i wish that there were no such things as lies or despair, but with out those things life wouldnt be difficult and you couldnt learn from anything....its just too bad that lies bring happieness to someone for such a short time...i believe you know what im talking about. good poem
