Shuffling in Like a Joker 6-22-04

by Phil Laws   Jan 20, 2008

Well I don''t like to be alone
'N' I don't like to be surrounded
I have rarely ever flown
But I'm rarely ever grounded
For every sin that I atone
It seems the punishments compounded
I like to think that I've grown
But I'm still not so well rounded
I walk like I'm not now to assuage
I talk like I've got fright from my new stage
I feel like I'd sought slights to disengage
I kneel like I thought height could key my cage
Shuffling in like a joker
Smile like I'm playing poker
Shuffling in like a joker
Muffling feeling mediocre
No one believes
