Witches Tower 7-1-98 (Song)

by Phil Laws   Jan 21, 2008

Gentle hands upon the railing
Loose cotton over body
Of softened muscular tone
You know that vision almost caught me
As her spinning tower mirrors
Sent the lamplight out to sea
Tense and tall, amid music
Casting sight orbitally

Beware the witch's tower
Shining it's curse
Beware the witch's tower
Thoughts in reverse
Beware the witch's tower
With it's constant din
Beware the witch's tower
Illusion within

A star boxed on her mantle
Controlling dead man's return
Space for one on pedestal
To concern, with time to burn
As her spinning tower mirrors
Send the lamplight out to sea
It seems the brightest beacons
Only show where not to be

Beware the witch's tower
Shining it's curse
Beware the witch's tower
Thoughts in reverse
Beware the witch's tower
With it's constant din
Beware the witch's tower
Illusion within

Say there's danger on the rocks
If the weather's not enough
Or she gets bored in calm water
I'll see you when the ride gets rough
Gentle hands upon the railing
Loose cotton over body
Of softened muscular tone
You know, that vision must've caught me

Beware the witch's tower
Shining it's curse
Beware the witch's tower
Thoughts in reverse
Beware the witch's tower
With it's constant din
Beware the witch's tower
Illusion within
