Mirrors; Broken And Whole

by VioletRaven   Jan 21, 2008

The broken mirror found me,
Shattered to recognise,
A broken mirror looked for me,
To find its own reflection.

A whole mirror tells no lies,
Fragmented souls are not reflected,
The body in the mirror has no Self.

Shall we reverse?
Or accept our differences?
My reflection and I.

Let instead her eyes be haunted,
Let her flesh be scarred,
Let her bones show keenly,
Let her make no sound.

Let her take the marks,
May her body be sacrifice,
To save the soul in residence beyond the glass.

And may the soul decide soon,
On which side of the glass to reside.
