A more positive attitude is required to work in these kitchens

by VioletRaven   Feb 5, 2008

I give each customer a gift today,
Not a portion more, or less to pay,
A timely, yet unrealised, courtesy,
To both unkind and pleasant, indiscriminately

''Please'' and ''thank you'' are already given,
But today I bestowed a special addition,
Don't feel disappointed, it will last you a while,
I gift you my best Anorexia smile.

*Note: A short and spontaneous poem in response to our staff meeting in which we were told to have a more positive attitude, and also a reaction to my increasing depression stemming from that soul-destroying and thankless job*
