For The Happy Idiots

by Soulful Ensemble   Jan 24, 2008

"I'm happy", says the idiot-dupe,
With his idiot smile that fools.
"I'm happy with those that stoop"
"Far down-- with the other piles of goop."

"I'm happy with the way things are"
"Nothing should change."
"Because the way things are"
"Is perfect-- ain't that strange?"

And the idiot-dupe, with his idiot teeth
Does swallow everything he can.
With his idiot eyes, he peaks
Watching every other man
To make sure they show their teeth
To smile all they can.

The idiot-dupe thinks
We should all smile.
He always brings
People in denial
To change the way they think
And numb them a while.

These dupes and dumb things
Would like us all to join
Their club of elite beings
To warm their stupid loins.

Morons,idiots, fools,
Why were they given brains?
All they do is drool
To drown in their own rain.

You holy fools,
Yes, you're blessed.
Blessed with mules
That carry you on a quest.
But will you have the fuel
To make it to your nest?

I suggest you wake up
And take off your make up.
You're living in a dream
With a broken scheme.

Its not alright to be a fool,
You'll smile today but not
When you fall off your stool
Trying to connect the dots.

You see the dots are easy
And anyone should solve what's bland.
But you make me feel uneasy
Standing up, just to understand.

Take a seat to fight
And think a while.
Because to be bright
You don't need a smile.
