Used To This Game

by Sarah Ann   Jan 24, 2008

I feel incomplete
Without that person next to me
I've never felt so alone
When I look around all I see is love
And you ignore me. Act like were strangers
Come around my way, and you know I hate her
The world is full of goodbyes, but it's never easier
While learning how to swim we are drowning deeper
Everything you are chasing just seems to disappear
Your fingers stained my heart; your prints are still here.
How do you know when it is time to give up?
Is it possible to confuse love and the need to be loved?
Everything you are chasing just seems to disappear
Your fingers stained my heart; your prints are still here
You're so quick to break me down so ready to betray.
Take me from my faith. I'm far too weak to pray.
My body is dead and pale. Take my air so I can drown.
Ill spill my sweetest wine into this tasteless town,
And block out all the noises. For I cannot stand the sound;
The pitter patter of those footsteps walking on my heart.
The silent cracking of my sorrowed, fragile heart.
I have no other cliche story to tell
Through heaven I've seen hell.
In rain I've felt pain,
But it's nothing to dwell over
I'm used to this game.

[this is more like a freestyle type of poem. bleh.]
