When It's Over

by MyEscape   Jan 25, 2008

I hope our rain shall let up
But until it finally dries
It's of utmost importance
For me to stay locked inside

See, this shower has lightning
And it can rock the very ground
The thunder too is dangerous
And echos more than sound

These rubber boots won't help me
Their protection is so small
This umbrella is weakening
As the downpour starts to fall

So until the sun comes out
I should really stay inside
But I'll meet you when it's over
When all this rain has dried

I didn't really like the first stanza because I felt that the rhyme wasn't very stronge, like the in the other stanzas, which was the best thing about them, the rhymes. I would usually write more in depth comments, but I'm feeling a little blank, so sorry.

P.S. Thank you for commenting on my poem 'Love battles and their fighters' and thank you for putting so much thought it what you said. I can only hope you expressed your true thoughts and not just what you thought I'd like to hear.

It was awsome. It would be perfect if maybe you changed the last line to:
When all this rain has dried
If you did that, it would rock my socks completly...
