Come Back (Shakespearean Sonnet)

by Kayla   Jan 25, 2008

I pretend I don't care you went away,
Outside I'm smiling, inside I'm dying.
These four walls keep closing more everyday,
So many unspoken words, can't stop crying.

You left before I could tell you anything,
Never got to put feelings into words.
Why didn't you listen to all that I sang?
You just flew away, away with the birds.

Sometimes I let memories get in the way,
I won't ever forget your loving smile.
Though I have no idea where you went away,
Why don't you come back and stay for awhile?

So darling, please come back into my heart,
If you do, I promise we'll never part.
