Things Aren't Going to Change.

by Brittany   Jan 26, 2008

Things aren't going to change,
They can't,
At least not now.
We could wait forever,
We could,
But we won't.
We fell apart,
And we know we're a broken mess,
We're not stupid or blind,
We know things are different.
Oh yes, our lives are in pieces,
We're tired of picking them up,
And glueing them back together,
So what now?
Are we so sick of this,
That we're giving up completely?
I remember nights we'd lay together,
Before we were these separate people,
I remember talking about the possibility of a future,
You stopped me,
"Not if we get married Brit, when we get married."
That was us,
This fuctional unit of being in love,
And now here we are,
Not waiting or looking back,
Shattered but moving on,
Just stuck.

Yep, things aren't going to change.
