Smiles in the summer glow, tears and pain in the winter snow

You lay beside me on the summer sand
You held my hand in the winter snow
You kissed my lips in the autumn breeze
And promised to never let me go

When the stars lit up a midnight sky
You'd sit outside with me in your arms
And when the rain fell you'd shelter me
Protecting me from all harm

But when the spring started to appear
You began to drift somewhere far away
The flowers began to bloom beautifully
