I tried to write about you today
But as I put pen to paper
I realised there was nothing to say
There were no feelings to describe
No identity of yours to try and capture
I tried to bring up memories
To stir something in me
But they all seemed so long ago
So far away from today
That I could barely remember you at all
There was nothing to miss
Nothing to love
And nothing to like
And as I stared at the blank page in front of me
I realised I'd captured you after all
Perfectly

It's been many years since I posted up any of my poetry on this site, so I decided to post some of my older ones I never put up and a few newer ones. Hope you like them

    This is so raw yet elegantly written.

    I love the sheer fact you are trying to remember this person for how they made you feel and in the end you realised they made you feel like nothing because you ended up with a blank page of nothing like them.
