Sailing free of Glee

by Elapsed   Jan 31, 2008

Dawn breaks upon a
pearly morning shore
where Sparrows sing
in mournful glee

Tidal waves of emotions
colliding with the sounds
of gulls feasting upon
a butterscotch sunrise

Voices of children
echoing in song
o'er hills which slowly
fade from blue to green

With the hands of this city
gliding on harbour's mirror
sailing ships drift by
like memories do
