The Man In The Casket

by unbelievable life   Feb 1, 2008

The smile that lit the room
Was slowly fading
Little did we know how soon
Until the room would grow dark

As your funeral goes through,
The sorrow grows,
Your life goes,
Past the eyes of friends and family

Everyone wishing, praying, its just a dream
More so a nightmare
This once happy boy
Who's done so much

Is gone
Someone who touched the hearts of so many
Is gone
And there is no turning back

Looking into the open casket
I look at you, your eyes closed the blankness
Of your face
That's just not you

The way your eyes would twinkle in the light
The way your smile, lit up the room
Your laugh as cute,
As a little kids innocence

But this man in this casket
That's not you
I can't help but wonder why
Since you seemed so happy

As i stand looking into this casket
I can't help but wonder
What happend, what caused you to do this,
And who this man in the casket is....
