Unrequited Pain

by LoveBird99   Feb 6, 2008

Look into your eyes and tell me what you see
Do you search for the angel you wish you could be?
You tell me there is nothing more I can do
And this pain is too hard for you to go through

Unrequited love and hypocritical liars
People giving in to their greedy desires
The lives of those you loved were less important than money
In a world where vinegar is mistaken for honey

The pain inside you is too difficult to bear
And the one you love most doesn't even care
The stabbing wounds of your love are impossible to take
And lack of serenity draws you to this mistake

A thousand angry daggers slowly kill your soul
For you will never be with he who makes you whole
This is one knot that cannot be undone
And this battle is lost although you think you've won

A passionate pain makes you overlook your life
Crimson tears are shed as you become one with the knife!

Aww what a tragic ending :| I have a suggestion in the title try changing the title or just remove the 'suicide' part so that when a reader reads this poem he/she won't expect the ending.

Anyway that's only a suggestion... I think the poem was great, it flowed nicely, good job.

    5/5 from me :)
