Im beginning to recover from aphasia,
A quandary I had never foreseen...

This world is in denial,
Our lives are untrue...

It stands alone,
An inanimate silhouette...

Affliction is a word.
Wish such a familiarity to me...

I have anxiety.
Can anyone relate...

It doesn't hurt.
As much as it may seem...

It hursts so bad.
Such an awful pain...

As the years fade...
My heart becomes weak...

Beyond cognition,
It seems far from real...

People tell me I have a gift,
For these words I pen to this page...

The light in my life has faded,
And I am lost at sea...

Many have traveled the path,
Time and time again...
