About Batscout

I love to talk about myself so walk away before it's too late. I'm the proverbial cave-woman lawyer. My basic labels: trial lawyer, caver, mother. Other interests of mine: running, rock climbing, nutrition, grotto librarian, reader, volunteer, writer, photographer, hiker, Christian, tree-hugger, bad flute player, fun loving. I favor environment/economics. I love wine, J(vg)B Vineyards. I take on too much. I have often wondered why I do it. In the past I thought I did it because I wanted to touch lots of people who would come to my funeral and somehow reflect how I lived my life; mark my existence. Thanks to someone dear to me, I have reevaluated that. I now believe that I just want to live a full life, I want to live! You only get 1 go'round, this is your only shot. One should taste, smell, touch, hear, see, feel it all. If you have tried one of Robert Frost's roads, consider the other road. Maybe you too will smile and sigh when old and tell whomever may be listening that: I followed my heart and took the other road and it has made all the difference.

Latest Poems By Batscout

  • These nugatory paper words
Are like of bottle of zinfandel all to myself...

  • Mucous is spilling from my nose
I can't smell dinner, wine or rose...

  • She breathes, sighs contentedly
Slides her bare legs through the soft sheets...

  • Mother and daughter
    Quarks spin, merge, return...

  • Sand pelts my arms and face
The sting is audible, a sound of pain...

Latest Quotes By Batscout

  • Life has a way of resetting balance. It's not always the balance you expect, the same posture you once had, the positioning of the past.Life's balance may catch you off guard, in the end, you will adjust. The sunset always comes and so does tomorrow.
