The Spring Time of Her Voodoo

    Once I had a secret,
    had a secret and impaled
    ring on unwilling silence,
    obligating myself to eternity
    with static mystery of mine...

    Once I, like a scorpion,
    wrapped around her provocative elbow.
    Twice. Three times.
    Eight times I disguised
    my laced wounds with coal,
    nine times.
    No, eight times,
    eight or zero?
Or it was eight hundred times?

    Once, I told a lie,
    twice,
    when I said
    that I erstwhile spoke the truth;
    were that
    under the summer birches
when this from shadows and glue
    forged friend
    got that secret,
    and left birch,
    and cause of its fragrance
    all leafs,
    nature,
    and his nose
    which dismissed, unsatisfied with escape.

    I tried to stay
just a shoulder in a haze
which danced around her weak eyes,
    your eyes,
    did I accosted to herself?
    Once,
    twice.
I accosted to her each time,
    and when I hated stars
    and when I kissed stars;

I tried to stay just a shoulder,
    never lips,
    nor eyes,
I tried to banish anguish from your pupils,
but never to be the one for who you will anguish,
I tried to stay only a friend,
    never a lover,
but once, I had a secret...

    Digital Ghost

Ingredients of aromas departing in universe,
    together with particles of ice,
    make from this world
    dungeon within a mirror.

Now, I also have affirmation in digits
    that hunter through parallel realities,
    melody of clock, is ticking
    backwards cumulative history of this vitreous cosmos;

    spoken upside down
    letters whisper
while we are trying to not hear,
    our illusions die last,
    still,
death is a consequence of life.

    Mechanism is calibrated to
    reach vertex in which
    will he,
executor of technological sins already dissected with karma,
    digital ghost,
    unbraid.

    Digital ghost lurks,
    he was in each shadow of us;
    Tomorrow brings promise,
    chip,
    which is simulator of emotions;
but compression of metal engenders remains,
of now used and arranged vision,
    which send savior,
to assure, in the name of Goddess on whose tear we kneel,
    who we tried to animate,
that a print of computerized lungs is a graveyard.

    Dark Side of The Sun

    Shadows dripping, calling night,
The sun fades from the sky,
    Insanity comes creeping in,
    To strangle your reply.

Blood is flowing down the walls,
    You're drowning in the sea,
    Crimson waves of deep regret,
    Have swallowed all you'll be.

Drink the horror of this life,
    Kill your mortal fears,
The past has left a string of ghosts,
    Ringing in your ears.

    Demons hunt your burning soul,
    Douse the bitter flame,
    Let the night bring inspiration,
    Replace this dirty shame.

    Dark Side of the Sun

    Phantom whispers creep along walls,
Thoughts too disturbed to please ears.
Twilight always seems to hide these-
    Cryptic, camouflaged fears.

Let it be a haven for things left unsaid.

    Silence screams secluded secrets.
    Choking on stardust that gleams.
Lips sewed together, never to speak,
But ears still hear those screams.

Let it be a haven for things left unsaid.

Lethal words carried up to the moon,
The harsh sunlight will never be won.
Darkness wraps me up in it's arms.
Hope lies on the dark side of the sun.

    - My first poem ever written specifically for a contest. :]

    You Go To My Head
    by AblissfulDREAMER

Wholesome image etched into my recollections ...

Your presence lured me near without a single caress
The connection we shared, the chemistry, the sparks
Trusted in me to believe we're destined to become one
There's no desire for speech; our souls communicated
From those piercing and captivating emerald eyes
Which tempts my heart into a mesmerizing trance
To your naturally luscious and delicious red lips
Which my lips have longed to plant sweet kisses

My whole being desires to pierce through your walls
Enter the world of you ... feel what your heart feels
To be girl who you whisper sweet nothings devotedly
The day our paths crossed and I witnessed your smile
I felt my innocent heart flee with mysterious emotions
Longing patiently for each morning to embrace you
Because my sprit solely feels complete with you near
And I dread the moment your beauty escapes me

Your soul effortlessly sang love into my withering heart
I've found you to be an addiction I cannot break away from

    Ok, here goes nothing...

    CLOUD ON MY TONGUE

    I'm hanging, swinging upside-down,
    From this pull-up bar,
I wanna say these words that sting,
But it just seems so hard...

Every time you say these words,
A cloud forms on my tongue:
"Ash, one day I'll marry you,"
    Dane, we're way too young...

I'll never say it to your face,
    Or any part of you,
I'll never let a damn soul know
I'm not in love with you.

I said I was and it was true,
I don't feel that way now,
After all the pain and tears,
    How could I, baby? HOW?

I try to swallow down this cloud,
    This tragic cotton mess,
Keeping back the words that burn,
    It leaves me in distress.

    Swinging, hanging upside-down,
My eyes cry from the cloud,
    I said I wouldn't say it,
But my thoughts are said out loud:

    "Baby, it can't happen,
    Our love could never last,
    I had faith in forever,
    Till I reviewed our past."

"Ash, one day, I'll marry you,
    You just wait and see.
One day you will wear my ring,
And know we're meant to be."

I feel the cloud form on my tongue,
    I feel myself lose grip,
I feel the force of gravity,
    I feel my body slip...

My cloud fell down into his arms,
The arms that broke my fall,
I knew it when he caught me,
    We were perfect after all...

    You Go To My Head

Our rugged feet leave behind a trail of false lies and misheard truths, with the occasional broken heart. We floated through the world like liars on the television screens and we took what they chose to give, which wasn't much.
Your face dares to hold the most beautiful lines of confusion and your hand allows itself to be colored a dark color of distress. [Didn't you ever consider that you held my hand too tight?] But I tugged away dear, and somehow, someway, our roles reversed. I am now your broken heart.
And like a night full of innocence, my screams echo off these shore less oceans. Echoing between worlds of dreams and reality, punishing me with the deepest of silences and a world of nothing, a nothing that you decided to give.
The television screen offers just a little too much sympathy as the images float across my eyelids and play across my tormented face. I need you. But you aren't and weren't there, just like those midnight lovers.
So as the television is clicked on tonight and I reunite with the truth which prefers to be hid -Remember one thing... you go to my head.

    Tasteful,
    They are.
    Though I'll admit;
    They're not you.

    Liquid diamonds caress taste buds,
Poisoning venom to veins of blood,
"Diamonds are a girls best friend"
    She whispered....
    Mixed with cocaine based addiction.

    Glamorous visions compliment her mind,
Spotlights dance light upon sweet face,
Mesmerized by the mirrors of fine glory,
    "Completed"..... or so she thought.
Though not me, not I. Not without you.

    Formication lost within your touch,
    Licking salty wounds caressing eyes,
"Diamonds aren't a girls best friend"
    I'll whisper....
After all they don't compare to you.
