Thanksgiving Week

This is a time I like to reflect on what's happened over the last year and what I'm thankful for. I praise God daily for what He's given me and helped me accomplish in my life, for the big and the small things.

What are some things you are thankful for this year?

I am thankful for the "normal" stuff I generally take for granted: a roof over my head, food on the table, a steady job, family, friends etc.

I'm thankful for my freedoms and rights. I'm thankful for discussion and disagreements that can be done in a nice way when tried (Sib and I never agree on political things, but we had a nice long thread in the other forum discussing without anyone freaking out.. too bad lol).

I'm thankful for rainy days that make the beautiful nature around me grow.

I'm thankful for pizza, because it's dang good. ;)

I'm thankful for my family and friends as well.. thankful for fuzzy socks and my husbands smile..

I'm thankful to be able to choose my path in life and the ability to stand up for my mistakes and in return have people who truly believe in me and my capability's in my corner...

I'm thankful to be able to talk with my city mayor on the streets of the city and share my views without getting ignored.

I'm thankful for my trees out back.. for there is where I find peace ~

Hmmmmmmm i am thankful for many many things but genuinely i am thankful for PnQ ...the people here are the only people in my life who know i write (other than a mental ex but we wont go into that lol)

And i am thankful for their friendship and guidance with me writing, i never read poetry before coming here and never wrote it either, so i am thankful for you to allow me to bear my feelings without reprise....really you have no idea.

I am thankful for life and all that God has blessed me with.

I am thankful for my friendship with Alessandra.

I am thankful for being free.
I am thankful for my family, friends and work.
I am thankful for being who I am.
I am thankful for my parents: they gave me wings.
I am thankful for Mother Nature.
I am thankful for being right now here because this year has been hard for my family and me.

I'm thankful for everything, the bad and the good.

For the hope that's living in me and growing in me despite all the death around, for being able to decide what's best for me, I mean in education.

I'm thankful for that Spanish dude who made me learn Spanish really well, for my pals who were there for me in the darkest of times, for PnQ and poetry in general.

I am thankful for my family those on earth and those who have passed on
I am thankful for my friends who I see face to face and also for my cyberfriends

I am thankful for the times I am understood by anyone lol

I'm thankful for my mom
I'm thankful for this hunger for self improvement
that I have

I'm thankful for health,
and thankful for coffee and tea

and thankful for silence,
and thankful for those moments where
You are alone and don't even feel a little lonely

I'm thankful for goodmorning text people bother
to send me, and how it lights up my day

I'm thankful to life,

Thankful for not feeling hate towards anyone anymore

Thankful for poetry and music, how they are
always there like two friends ready to hug you.

Thankful for everyone, the mercy of strangers,
and the way life always kicks me back in the arse, when I pretend I know it all.

Thanks God for everything you had to offer...
for the simple processes of breathing, dreaming, thinking, walking...
for creating everything with an opposite, to give color to this world...
and for blessing us with two privileges that distinguish us from the rest of your creation... hearts and brains.

I am thankful for being able to live this moment.
I am thankful to God for giving me chances and opportunities after my fall.
I am thankful for my parents,Family and friends.
I am thankful for the nature and its beauty:)

I'm thankful for faith. Without it I'd not be such a positive, fun loving person.

For dreams. They challenge me to do everything in my power to reach them.

For mascara and eye lash curlers, without them my eyes would be dull.

For my best friend who has brought so much laughter and encouragement to my life.

For family who'd drop anything to help me out.

For my Godson whose been the only one whose love and adoration has melted me to my core and made my bad days good ones.

I'm thankful for a working car, clothes on my back, and a roof over my head.

For orange juice ....I am cranky without it

For NFL and NHL......no specific reason for those haha!

Thanks for the shoutout, Brittness. : ) The ability to respectfully disagree is something that I'm coming to appreciate more and more as I get older.

Other things I'm thankful for:

-being born in this time
-being born in this place
-having a stable, supportive family
-having a good education
-being healthy
-making new friends
-having a ridiculous, kind, smart, lovely fellow
-a career path that seems promising
-apple pies
-homemade bread
-old books
-new books
-memories of places I've traveled
-my little brother and his grown-up apartment
-my kitty
-my drooly, elephant sized dog
-fleece-lined leggings
-brown boots
-no centipedes
-a warm November

And a couple other things. I'm also thankful for this site, for making me develop any writing skills I have, and for introducing me to new ideas and ways of living. Happy Thanksgiving!
