I can't seem to be able to nominate?

I have tried to nominate a poem by Mike like 6 times now and it's not going through? I know I have not used my 3 votes this week because the only other poem I've nominated since I got the rights to do so was a poem by Larry and that was sucessful....anyone else experiencing this problem?...mods...any ideas why this has happened? I guess most of you will know that my reply button on the pm system is working randomly right now but...others have the same problem I know....never had a nomination bounce back at me before that I can recall?

Its a problem that has surfaced in the last few days, and we are trying to work out whats causing it: I too have tried to nominate poems, some work and one didnt. It could be a glitch caused by Janis experimenting, it appears random, we are looking but havent found a common denominator yet. Janis has been informed so hopefully it'll be sorted soon.

I have the same problem too..

Two others also had the problem, they let me know of it earlier this week. I tried to nominate the poem she could not & I couldn't nominate it either.

I can't remember who, but she had the author resubmit the poem & it still could not be nominated.

Once again, Janis has been emailed & PMd.

Well...it appears the problem is as random for me as my reply button is. Colm, the poem I was trying to nominate is the one you have mentioned. I've just tried nominating it again and...it worked this time! Yeah....random for sure haha!

Did you received any message saying something like... you can see your vote in here... Or here is the list of nominated poems?

When I was trying to nominate it no...it just wouldn't go through. When I finally was able to nominate there was a message saying something like....Thank you for your vote...can't remember what else it said?

Yes me too, I think its not only love but friendship poems too.

Well done for noticing, there are no love or friendship poems nominated this week now that I check.That narrows down the problem.

Only thing is that it still doesnt explain how Hellon wasnt able to nominate that poem (in the life section) when other people were able to. Has anybody been unable to nominate poems in any of the other categories?

Hm. Those love poems and friendship poems ARE technically separate from the rest of the site. They're connected, but I think they even have a slightly different URL. "Best-love-poems" or something. I wouldn't be surprised if that were the key.

Maybe Big J messed something up when he was hanging around in the code the other week...

Back to not being able to nominate...getting tired of all this 'new'stuff right now...

I agree Hellon seriously fix it please would you? i tried and it wouldn't let me although it went back and forth on saying that i nominated...

These changes & glitches are very frustrating, for the mods as well as the members. I'm sorry we're being put through the gristmill.

Janis has been put on notice several times for these problems.

Sadly it's only Janis who can correct these problems. As mods haven't heard from him we are unable to give you a time frame, sorry.

I seem to have found a solution to this...a bit tedious but still. My problem seems to be in the Love and Life sections so I asked a member to move a love poem into the miscellaneous section and I was able to nominate from there...then he changed it back to Love. I guess it's one way members may wish to try until Janis fixes this problem.
