Baby Rainbow Challenge - Everyone Welcome! :)

Hello :)

So, I messaged some members just to see if I could get some interest in a challenge, and can I just say thank you for everyone who agreed to take part, the site is alive after all! This challenge is very easy and EVERY SINGLE PERSON can join in.

I will do 3 rounds, because there are a lot of people interested. All 3 rounds will run exactly the same, I will post some prompts, and you decide the rest!

So.... For round 1.... Below is a list of prompts, I want you to pick from them, it can be just 1 prompt, or you can go wild and use them all, it is up to you. You can use them any way you like, no rules. Just use them to inspire your poem. You do not get extra brownie points for using more than one prompt, the poems will simply be picked out of what the members think is their favourite poem!

(Remember, your poems are not being judged as such, it will go to public voting, and everyone likes different things in poetry, so everyone has a chance of winning!!)

I will give you all 1 week for the first round, I don't think we need longer if everyone participates. So PM me with your poems by Thursday 3rd October, and I will post them for voting on Friday 4th and have voting all weekend!

PLEASE DO NOT POST YOUR POEMS TO YOUR PROFILE UNTIL THE WINNERS HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED!

There will be 5 winners from round 1!
The overall winner after round 3, will get a prize of 10 comments from me :) xx

I have just sent my entry off and am very eager to take a look at what is posted at the end of Round One. We have a lot of great poets participating, which is awesome cause I would like to see some new creativity! :)

I will be posting the poems for voting anonymously, so no one will know who wrote the poems. The only way people will know is if you post them to your profile, so please do not post them until after the results.

I have got 5 poems in so far, it is awesome to see new people entering this and enjoying their first contest! :)

These prompts give lots of ideas but also make it somewhat difficult to come up with the right words to build a poem around! Good challenge and look forward to reading the poems :)

This is more than just a challenge Saffie, it is a privilege too that everyone will be inspecting your piece maybe letter by letter of idioms. Good job

Hello everyone!! Well... Today is the last day to submit your poems in! I will post them tomorrow morning for voting through the weekend and Sunday I will announce the winners!

So far, we have 16 poems! They are all different, all fantastic, and lots of new members doing their first challenge!
Since I have so many poems, I am thinking about having 10 winners for this first round and just add in a few extra rounds if needed! (I will let voting decide, and see how many poems get how much votes etc)

The voting will be easy, Tomorrow I will post a new thread with all the poems, every member can read through them all, then PM me with the number or title of the poem they want to win. The poems with the most amount of votes by Sunday, will then be announced as the winners of the first round and will go through to round 2.

Wow, sounds fantastic! Was not expecting the number of poems to be close to the twenties!

Ok guys, need your input on this, believe it or not, I have 23 poems!!! And so I will make it 12 winners for round 1. Did not expect so much and they are all really great quality!

So, there is no way you can pick just one poem as a winner, so my thoughts is that you can have your top 3 poems to win for this 1 round? Does everyone agree?

So I would post them, and you would PM me as follows:

I vote for:

2nd - poem #2
3rd - poem #3

Let me know your thoughts on this, I just think people will find it hard to pick just one winner, but if you are all happy to try it that way, then it is your contest so let me know please, will see what the majority decide on and have them posted tomorrow.
