Job/study/business: aiming to set up my own dog training business

Interests/hobbies: I am a dog lover, enjoy training them, running training classes and helping to teach others how to enjoy their pet. I love Law and Order SVU. Enjoy swimming and walking.

Family?: I live with my parents, and I also have 3 older brothers. I have 3 nieces, and one new baby nephew.

Pets: I have 4 dogs, a golden retriever and 3 Chinese crested. And one rabbit.

What do you like reading/writing about in poetry?: I started writing mainly as an outlet, however, after joining this site I have learned many different forms and how to write about other things as well as emotions. I like writing poetry that sends a message, and about topics that people shy away from such as abuse etc, I like to raise awareness of the subject. I like reading poems about real life situations and feelings, and poems that I can connect to and relate to. I also enjoy seeing people write from the prompt challenges!

A little more about myself: I have published one small poetry book, when I was 17, for a charity who works with abuse victims. I spend most of my time at dog training, and am currently working towards setting up a business where I will be a private dog trainer, and hope to also work with some rescue centres and help train abandoned dogs, before they go to their new home. I try to be as active as I can on here, and enjoy running challenges.

What I love about poetry?
That's easy poetry is what I express myself with like when I was in high school I was known to either have my head in the clouds with a book or just making poetry which sadly made my math teacher hate me (not that he was any good in teaching since I didn't pay attention to him if it wasn't for my freshman teacher I would've not passed to 12 lol since my freshman teacher taught us all 12 grade math while she was there since she often was somewhere else she taught us all that we needed to know and much more) I write some from my past others are just how I'm feeling

Bit about me :)
I love to be in chatrooms I can't stand the silence I will ALWAYS be talking >.< I know it's a bad habit if I'm not talking I have music on which my coworkers worry if I'm not talking... I smile a lot and that's why I made my username "Joker Queen" I always joke around make people smile or laugh (depending the mood I'm in and the type of person it is :) ) I'm really crazy at times...no 90% of the time and 10% I'm serious I love to book shop like if I didn't already have 20 books in my phone's app to read I would have like idk 30 books from the library already checked out and I have 300+ romance novels at home I swear I love romance although I don't have a partner at the moment because who needs relationships to make themselves happy? I don't own a credit card and I never will saw my mom pay off her credit cards since I was a little girl and I'm still seeing her pay them off so um pass :) anything else PM me :) I love meeting new people thanks Saffie for posting this :)

Interests/hobbies: Haven't read in awhile but I'm open to any book, listening to music, writing of course, playing the piano/organ or improvising melodies, singing, watching anime on-line, bike riding, and most recently, gardening or working out in the yard.

Family?: One older brother (22 yrs.) and mom and dad I live at home with.

Pets: Rat terrier named Jack. We think he's about 8 years old but we "rescued" him from a college student who could not care for him anymore. He was suspected to have been abused as well so it took time for him to get used to our family... not good with strangers and has a harder time with men for some reason but he can warm up to a person if seen a lot.

What do you like reading/writing about in poetry?: Emotions and life. I've tried to be more honest and reflective in the past year and I appreciate when others are as well. I like when a person can have one single thought and then expand that to give depth to that line, or have it apply to life. Thankful for this site as I feel especially in reading others' poetry, we can understand one another.

A little about myself: I'd like to say I think of myself as being more quiet over shy, I do think there's a difference. I will always be friendly and have concern for others but don't choose to tell everything right away or go up to every new person and introduce myself. My faith means a lot to me. I was raised Catholic and my parents and I help volunteer at the church down the road. I call myself a traditionalist and I'm also a Conservative.

What do you like reading/writing about in poetry?: When I first started writing 10 years ago all I mostly liked was dark/sad poetry because that's where I was in my life. Now I like to read almost anything besides love. writing though is different I will almost try anything.

A little about myself: Well I've been diagnosed as depressed and anxious. I have been put on Prozac and I have lost who I was and lost interest in a lot of things. Even writing. I've been on this site a long time off and on. Hoping to stay a long time ;).

What do I like reading/writing in poetry?:I like reading about love, life situations that people go through and any works that involve nature and the elements, I'm also fond of people that use paradoxes,I adore contradiction in words.
I like writing about pretty much the same stuff, in a nutshell, anything that states the poets feelings, ideals and/or emotions.
About me: I'm still trying to decide if I'm an introvert or extrovert,I always seem to be borderline but never quite either side, which brings me to the best summary of who I am, I'm a paradox and a middle man (woman) which is ironic cause I'm coloured(half black half white) or as the Americans say, African American, by blood, my skin is dark brown but I have the personality of a white woman, or so I'm told, mind you people say I have s British/American accent but that's nonsense I don't have any accent, only the ones I feign for the simple purpose of my entertainment.and yes,I talk to myself.a lot.everyday.most of the day.it's not so much talking to myself as it is having intense thoughts that escape from the cell of my mind into the prison of my mouth and out into the freedom of the world, but yes,I do have conversations with myself,I find them to be rather delightful when there's no one else to talk to, perhaps that's why I had a borderline alter ego at one stage of my life.but as they say, all creative people have their own streak of madness.as the Cheshire cat in Alice in Wonderland said "we're all mad here"and as her father said, "all the best people are" :-P and yes I love Alice in Wonderland, the cat, the caterpillar and the mad hatter are my favourite characters.anyway, let me stop babbling.hello world :-P

I prefer writing free-verse, though I dabble in forms here and there, and typically write either mundane life moments, or highly metaphorical pieces about various stages of emotion and human experience.
