Club Battle?

*posting here since no one is checking the contest page?*

So I want to host another battle of teams, either in groups of 3/4, or in your clubs. YOU CAN DECIDE WHAT YOU WANT TO DO, so let me know.

I will post 7/8 prompts, you will have 3 days to turn in as many poems as you can. Members are not allowed to post twice in a row.

THEN... each team will be given one day to decide on only 5 poems per team, that will go on to face the public vote, where members will have to vote on poems besides their own teams.

SO... who is in on this? What is your thoughts? I will begin this starting next Monday, which gives everyone a week to prepare themselves and get their other team/club mates to be around near the time

Teams might be better than clubs if I can't get any other clubs.

FOP officially has 3-4 members ready at any rate. Me, Britt, Colm, and Cynnie wasn't sure if she could, but it's not impossible.

So if no other group steps up, it wouldn't be unreasonable to go for a FOP vs M&M vs Independent Team, or something like that? Looks promising at least. If no-one else turns up, and Cynnie decides to partake (making FOP have 4 people ready), I'm not against joining Adreamer and Andrea, making it a 3v3v3. But there's still some time left!

Well I will leave this open, until everyone decides. But 3 or 4 groups would do of 3 or 4 people.

And it will be over 3 or 4 days, so it is plenty time for everyone to take part.

If anyone else in Free Spirits will join me, I will gladly participate! :)

Also - I don't want to go about judging the poems etc, as most of the active members will be taking part anyway....

so I suggest: the first team to reach 100 poems, wins?

or... the team with the most poems by the end of the time, wins?

I like the idea of the team with the greatest number of poems, wins. That way it's not too high of an expectation but everyone tries their best to submit the most..... So this will be cycling through the prompts like in Colm's club challenge months ago?

We have 4 members of LTFR ready & ABLE!

Yes guinea pig, like the cycle of prompts.

So something like:

1. colour blue
2. 7 lines
3. type of sport
etc... and you have to start at the beginning once complete.

Team with the most poems by the end of the 4th day will win.

I will aim to start this on Monday morning, finishing on Thursday night.... which gives us all weekend to discuss the options and final rules etc.

Assuming we have all the clubs/ teams onboard.

Are you assigning the two independents to clubs?

If so, which ones?

Are you creating new threads for each "club" to post on tomorrow?

If I can get final numbers on the groups, I will match the independent ones so the teams are equal. Or, they can find another member to join their team and be a team on their own.

I will create the threads tomorrow morning early, so 4-5 separate threads. But, no one will be allowed to post until the same set time.

I am in UK time, so hopefully I will have it all set up for most of the members waking up ;P

I just need a final count of numbers.

Ok, well that leaves FOP with 3? Which means the 2 independent ones can split into each team of 3,, giving us 4 teams of 3??

We have 4-5 according to our thread actually. User names: Kakera, Colm, Britt, The Queen, and Saerelune (wasn't completely clear on her though).

Well we need to confirm numbers to make the teams equal, and so I can place the other 2 members into their teams.

I am delaying this until tomorrow morning instead.

We need to make sure the teams are equal.

M&M can have an independent on their team.

But if FOP have 5 members, teams go unequal.

So, I suggest that for the one team of 5 people, no one is allowed to post twice in a row.

Does anyone object this to feel it unfair?

Ok, so I am starting this tomorrow.

All teams now have 5 members. Apart from M&Ms. So if they don't have 5 members by tomorrow, they are allowed to post consecutively in their posts.
