Should a 14 year old (or anyone not emotionaly ready for childbirth) who make one mistake have to be punished with bearing a child for nine monthes?- that could lead to post pardom, and teen grls who went through pregnancy are more likely to kill themselves. And as heartless as this might sound, I value the life of a woman more than an unborn, unfeeling fetus.

I agree with Lorraine^. I think if you can't even give the child a good life, why not end it before it even begins? I guess it is one of those topics that will never be fully agreed on.

My sister's friend who is 16 is pregnant, the guy found out and they were gonna move in together and all and then he suddenly ditched her... She's now getting an abortion.

There are lots of alternatives, she could have it adopted, or she could give the baby to another family, anything, if she cant handle it in any way, financially OR if she is not mature enough, there are lots of other ways a lot better than KILLING a baby.

i agree with britt. It is NOT the babies fault, its completely innocent, its a living thing from the moment it is concieved and getting it aborted is MURDER. the mother has many right, yes. But she does NOT have the right to take away a human life.

and as someone said, that aborted baby may have found the cure for some awful disease, or invented something new, or simply been loved by friends and family. Ur taking all of that away from the child before its even had a chance of life.

I don't think all the people talking about murder are looking at it with perspective. I'm not saying that an abortion is right for everyone, but if A woman feels that she truly needs an abortion, she shouldn't have to go against the law to get it. When abortion was illegal, woman went to get "secret back-ally abortions", where woman had to endure humiliation, and shame, thousands of woman were hurt, even died. Some woman are also not healthy enough to have a child safely, should their lives and the baby's be risked? Its diminishing to woman- So many political battles have been fought to protect the rights we enjoy today, if we take away a womans right to making choices with her body, we are just turning back the clock.

Aborting a baby, even after 3 weeks of pregnancy is taking away a life. That embryo could have had a life, but by aborting that, you're taking it away.

I know that some mothers can't support a child becuase of their position, so they abort it. But why not have the child and then give it up for adoption? That way, you won't rid its chances of living, but you'll also allow it to actually have a good life.

Since the fetus is inside the mother, she has full control, over what she wants it feeding off her, or whether she wants to keep it.

Since the baby is linked to the mother as the umbilical tube, which connects the mother and the baby, the mother giving the baby nutrients to survive. once that has been taken or once the baby is gone, the umbilical tube is gone, therfore, it is called in a loose term " Suicide".

Hoax or not, some people aren't mentally, physically or financially prepared to be parents. If you are not prepared you will be a bad parent.

Extreme example (true in many a case however):

If such a child were to be born, raised an atheist (for argument's sake), abused physically and mentally all of her life until she commits suicide then wouldn't have been more humane to have prevented that life for beginning in the first place?

What is worse, a foetus in a jar or a body spread five miles down a train track? At least in the first instance other people's lives are not ruined as well.

One of my good friends was raped. Finding out later she was pregnant she could not bear to have it. If she didnt have an abortion she probably would have thrown herself down a flight of stairs. How dare you say the mother doesnt have a right. You ever think the baby would want to choose to die instead of being born into a place where it cant be taken care of?

It is never easy for a mother to abort her baby and it makes it even worse with people like you saying shes a murderer. Like she doesnt feel enough like crap for you to push it in her face
