It would have to be the first three i wrote;"the greatest game" which i wrote after my first high school pitching win. "reconcider" because it was a real letter that i was writting to a girl that i slowly relaized it was becoming a poem. "athlete" because i love to compete

1st one written when i was 15, other two 3 years ago when i was 17.

1. For Beth: An Account of A Sunken Friend Ship

Each day I miss you more and more.
Your heart was red and has turned black.
These days I can't recognise your face.
I want my best friend to come back.

Who knew the fall could be this steep?
We were such good friends before.
But once he comes in, I must take the plunge
For ne'er could friendship battle l'amour.

He took my friend, made my life hell
Controlled your life, tore us apart
If friends as well as lovers can,
Then, oh my word, you broke my heart.

I'd turn to therapy, but they can't help me.
I'd turn to friends, but I have but one.
I'd look to God, but I can't believe.
I'd turn to lovers, but I have none.

My back bleeds from the knife's red gash
Fury's head a-rises.
I never thought we'd be this way
And want no more surprises.

Best friends forever, friends till the end
Both phrases best forgotten.
They don't mean much to you right now;
Love is far more modern.

Our friendship's not remembered now.
Things have turned bleak and grim.
I'm still here to be your friend
But everything's for him.

Things were rocky even back
In last year's December.
We were once a happy pair
But you do not remember.

I feel I'm not important now.
I feel that I don't rank.
The fall was sharp and powerful
The day the Friend Ship sank.

2. Sorry To All The People I've Hurt

Sorry to you
For shouting at you.
For not getting the facts
Before seeing it through.
For not letting you talk
And just deciding to yell.
Sorry I didn't
Handle it well.
For overreacting,
And being unkind.
For making you hurt,
And making you cry.

Sorry to you
For mistreating you.
For wanting it to be me
Instead of us two.
For saying those things
To deliberately hurt.
Sorry I made
The situation worse.
For throwing a tantrum,
And being immature.
For not making things
The way they were before.

Sorry to you
For laughing at you.
For demanding the old,
And not accepting the new.
For trying to make
You choose between things.
Sorry I didn't see
The joy that she brings.
For having a laugh,
And not lending an ear.
For acting like this
To everyone this year.

But you look drained,
And you look alone.
You look silly,
And I can't condone
How all this has happened,
How nothing's going to plan.
How I don't have the world
In the palm of my hand.
How I can't control life
And make it like it was.
How I feel so shaken,
How I feel so lost.

You're all in the right,
But I'm not in the wrong.
You dance your dances,
I'll sing my song.

3. Conundrum

One heartbreak after another.
I didn't like you like I liked the other.
But it brings back memories of the first,
So it makes me feel all the worse.

Thanks for making me feel so bad.
It's what happened before that makes it sad.
I'm not even over him and now
I must get over two - but how?

"A way to say" its short and sweet.

I would love to say I like you,
but that wouldn't be enough.
I'd like to say I need you,
but finding the words is tough.
I need to say I want you,
'cause without you I'd fall apart.
But most of all, I want to say,
I love you with all of my heart.

My three favourite poems have been the ones where i wrote them as a gift for some one. Not only because they make other people happy but also because they are the most honest poems I've written. My three favourite are
1. My mother (for my mum on her birthday)
2. Why i love you (For my boyfriend on valentines day)
3. Famous Duo (for my best friend which i have posted on my site)

I don't really have a favourite but if I had to choose I'd want to honour the life of a workmate who committed suicide. I was the last person to see him alive and I knew I had to intervine but I couldn't step forward when it mattered
