Ahhh i see that got many of you. yay. anywayseriosly here's the rules. P+Q's obviosly, but b4 u post, u must state your religion and explain the main details of it. dont go into denominations please. (E.G. "I'm a lutheran-missouri synod-christian) the last is all that is needed. (E.G. I'm a christian and i believe that jesus saved me and i will go to heaven because of my belief in him.) after you have done this, look for others with a same faith. maybe make an alliance. i dunno. w/e. when you have a feel for the topic-thread, ask others about their religion. and please, to avoid confusion, always write their display name before you ask.

P.S. please dont cuss. arguing is alright, but foul language and swearing may offend. go ahead, ask me the differance. i know.

Not really sure that this is what you're asking for, but here it goes....

I am a Christian and I have committed my life to following Jesus and living by his example. I believe that he lived a perfect, sin free life, and that he died on the cross to save me from my sins. He paved my road to Heaven, and allowed ordinary people like me the chance to spend eternity in paradise. I have complete faith in God, and though sometimes the road is rough, I know he will pull through in the end.

Ahhh yes this is it, but people of other religions may and probaly will attack your faith. all people be prepaired.

  • Jessica

    Ehh.... i'm not afraid ;)

attack my religion all day long....its what I believe and i'm stickin' to it. you're not going to sway my opinion either way.

I belive there is no heaven, is no hell, and we'll all be sent to the same goddamn place because wouldnt you know it? noone is better than anyone else, all that crap bout if your christian or muslim or whatever, and if you aint one of those then your going straight to hell, thats just a piece of ass man, i can belive in god and jesus, but just cos i dont show my beliefs in a church or in a religion then suddenly im getting sent to hell? lol

    well thats my opinion

  • The Herald

Yes actualy, you said there is no heaven, therefor,i i must assume that you dont believe in god and that he doenst exist. this saddens me.

  • Jessica

    Kudos to us restlefan...lol ;)

i don't believe that you have to go to church to go to heaven. all that it takes is to get saved..believe that Jesus died on the cross for your sins. i mean..church couldn't hurt, but its not the deciding factor. God doesn't take out a chart and see how many sundays you missed....he looks at how many days out of your life that you walked in faith.

  • Shar

See, there it is again, do you know? how people say that god is all around us? yeah? i belive that? i just dont belive there is a heaven. if god is all around then hes not in heaven hes on earth

  • The Herald

    Lets use an example:

i go to the ocean lotsa water rite? i take a bottle, fill it with water, put cap on, and throw into ocean. the water symbolizes god in the example, and the bottle symbolizes the earth.

also, if there's god, then why wouldent there be heaven? you already believe in something "impossilbe" why not take another thing with it?

  • Jessica

Well that goes back to faith. there isn't proof to everything. you have to have the faith and the courage to believe. take a sports team for example.... if the team goes in with little faith in winning, then what are their chances????

  • Jessica

Oh wow....your example was a lot better, lol

    good job

  • Shar

Lol, no, heaven and hell are just all a load of crap

if there is a god, WHY does there HAVE to be a heaven to go with it? because it sounds nice? ha

  • Shar

And with the devil! i belive there is a devil, but not a hell.

its liek youve all got this picture in your head, like everythign has to be perfect

devil can go to hell cos hes evil, hells spossed to be evil

god is in heaven, because hes good

no, sorry no, it doesnt work like that

devil and god will be in the same place right now, afterlife
its just liek earth! your here with peopel you dont like! your here with different cultures and different religions!

god made this earth? made all of us on it?
why would he wanna split us up into groups when we die? just doesnt make sence

  • The Herald

Because of belief. you believe there is no god. if you believe there is god,(very easy to do), and that jesus saved you. the answer to your last Q, is: SIN. sin causes us to do what is contrary to god's plan for us. i dont no why god first created the earth, maybe he jus wanted to. also. you believe in god right? and that he's all powerful? and the devil is evil? right? and that he chose to go away from god. just answer like (E.G. yes no yes no no yes) not real answers i just wrote, but yours

also. i will love all the people in the afterlife because i will be with god. and yes, while heaven has limits, it has no sin, (unlike this earth....)

Hello ddavid...Or do you like to be called restlefan

  • Shar

I belive theres a god, doesnt mean i belive jesus saved me. i belive theres a god a devil. doesnt mean i belive in heaven or hell.

and no, sometimes i dont belive he is evil. and soemtimes i dont belive that god is good.noones perfect people wake up i mean come on

and ye si belive god is powerful, i also belive that the devil is bloody powerful too.

god creates teh sins for us! he has plans for you, yeah HIS plans, there not YOUR plans, his plans for you could be that you become a singer? but no, your plans are that youll become a mother before your married or soemthign liek that, but thats what you WANT to do, but yet its a sin, a sin for doing somethign you want to do
yet if you became what god had plans for you to become, youd be unhappy, wouldnt like life all that crap blah blah blah

    i cant explain myself grrr

  • The Herald

To shiky:hmmmmm so if i understand, sins are made by god in ur beliefs? but god is love sins are bad. and the irony of ur statement "noones perfect people wake up i mean come on" is that god is perfect. he loves you and me. believing is so much sweeter than not believing.

  • The Herald

Partial belief isnt full belief. example time!

if i was about to be killed and had to shoot the other guy to keep from being killed, i'd need a whole gun right? so i pull out my gun, and boom, half the thing falls apart.

your faith, is the gun. you are the defendee. u cant kill satan with half a gun.

  • Shar

Yes it is! i can belive there is a god, a devil, doesnt mean i have to belive theres a heaven or hell

your all delusional and like, your all sucked into this heaven/ hell crap, i mean seriously

I want to ask Christians something:

If you love and respect Jesus so much, then why do you carry a statue of his corpse around your neck? Do you honestly think that the only way someone can love you is if they die for you?

And I think Hitler went into a hole, unless he was cremated.

  • Shar

How the hell did hitler get into this? lol'

well anyways, he went the same place as everyone else, there isnt a different place for different people its all crap crap crap

  • Noir

    I will tell you something...

If I believe in a religion, or should I say a spirtual belief...Rather than the rituals and rules that form that religion. Would that make my faith in that particular belief any less true?

Right now all I see is people trying to fight with each other, proving to others and themselves that Science, Evolution, God, Nature is the one true thing. But is it?

Because all I see is not the smirking silence of someone who already knows the truth. But the childish whimpering of people deluding themselves that they are the "TRUE" ones.

    "Jesus saves..........
    When he shops at wal-mart.."
^ Haha, that made me laugh.

Anyways I am atheist. I believe that if there is a God then he is one seriously twisted guy. Otherwise there would be no wars or suffering. Most people say it's a test of faith. But if God is all-knowing he would not need to test you to know your faith. Others say it's the work of Satan. God created Satan and if he's all-knowing he would've known that Satan was going to betray him and turn to evil. Then there is Jesus who says "If you deny me infront of your friends then I will deny you infront of my father." That is some serious ego he has eh? Worship me at all times of you're going to suffer!! He's a jolly fellow isn't he? God is supposedly benevolent. Yet he has a 'holy wrath' that has destroyed cities, tying in again with his all-seeing all-knowing. If he shapes everybodies soul then he basically knows what they will do before they do it. In which case he controls us all, which would mean that he destroyed those cities for no reason. He made them do something he didn't like so he smited their asses.

    Sluvious....

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh to the Father but by me." John 14:6.

Jesus is the truth.... I try my absolute hardest to live by the word of God, and not to relie on what man tells me. Let God be true, and every man be a liar. No man is perfect....besides Jesus. I have to refuse to let the opinions of man come between my relationship with God.

  • SuperJenius

The bible says He is the truth and He is but there is more to it...
Jesus is simply a piece of it, God wants us to be happy and to have meaning in our lives that is the truth. Jesus is the mecahnism through which we can live a Godly life which is a Christlike life.

And Jesus was not perfect either, only God is. Jesus was both Human and Divine (atleast that's what my religion believes) and thus since He was human, He was not perfect for no human being is perfect. Perfect is basically "without sin" Mary was without sin so she is the exception to the rule. Mary and God are the only perfection in the Church.

"Mary was without sin so she is the exception to the rule. Mary and God are the only perfection in the Church."

Mary was a 14 year old girl who had a child to a 30 year old married man. In today's society that would be shunned against. So how is she without sin?

  • firexdancer

    ^i agree with you.

my family is christian catholic, therefore i am supposed to be one as well, though i believe differently.... it gets hard to believe in something when you ask yourself so many questions and there are no answers... unless you can answer this.

so if 'god' is the almighty powerful being, and he wants us to love each other and have peace, then why is there war? wouldn't he be powerful enough to somehow influence people? and also, why at church do they say you have to believe in god to go to heaven? that's just like being racist or sexist or something, that says that if you don't believe in god, you go to hell! but they also say that god is the one who made us all equal in the first place!

so i don't really believe in a heaven or hell,
i do believe that there was someone, something that created this world, but has no power over it whatsoever. and that people just become part of the earth when they die, death is really just new life.

    ^^

Fading Away: In today's child centered society, we see children and pre-adolesents as vunerable, innocent entities that is totally different and would and should be regarded with leinancy and love...Ahh!

But back in pre-industrial society, children were seen as economic assests that have to work for their food and for the roof over their head. If you are six years old. You're legal to work or become an apprentice.

You have to remember that back then the set age for the person to die was if he or she were in their early 30's...So there was no time for childhood.

Also it was pretty common for men to actually sleep and marry the minors seeing as under the eyes of the law, they were adults. Pedestary was rife in those times...And accepted as well. But now we see it as nothing more than paedophilia.

  • Noir

"so if 'god' is the almighty powerful being, and he wants us to love each other and have peace, then why is there war?"

I guess you have to look at it from a biological and psychological sense. We are at war with any person we are either jealous of or hate. But yet we are appauled when a massive war happens. It is human nature to hate each other. If not a person "prettier" than you, then it would be the soccer mom who has it better than you.

It is human nature to hate...We hate the "Devil"...Do we not?

God made us to actually test us if we can actually overcome our actual fallacies. He didn't make war, we did it. He didn't make suffering...We did it?

He didn't make all those people out there to be raped...We (as in humanity as a whole) did it. So why blame him for it.

He created Adam and Eve and told them not to touch the apple of knowledge. What did they do...Their human fallacies (jealousy) was given in by the devil's words. And they ate it...

God created the universe, God created the devil...But you have to remember that God gave us and the Devil free will...And when we get the consequences of free will...We shouldn't blame God...We should blame ourselves.
