When I'm asked why I can't act or be a little 'normal' - I reply : "what's so special about being normal? Where exactly does individuality come into that?"

Ask yourself that. Hopefully you'll answer yourself. :)

    Nor·mal:
    –adjective
    1. conforming to the standard or the common type; usual; not abnormal; regular; natural.

    average, typical, not different.

normal isn't necessarily something to aspire to though.

"What is Normal? It is the good smile in a child's eyes... and the dead stare in a million adults. It both sustains and kills, like a god."

How can anyone say that there is no such thing as normal?
society sees a certain group of people as "normal", and when you step out of that circle your life is criticized.
can you seriously say that people such as goths aren't shut out because they're not "normal"

normal is an epidemic that we will never be able to escape. period.

saying that there is no such thing as normal is a wish, not a fact

    What is normal...

Well there is no such word as normal as we all are unique individuals who although have many similarities are mostly different in relation to the "pick and choose" hybridity of our lives.

But again, what is "normal" in relation to society, it is the shared values and morals that we all share and are taught....

Those that break those shared values and morals are seen as deviant, or "abnormal"....

But again there is no such word as "normal"

    K...

Nothing is normal. and if there were such a thing why would you want to be it? personally i like being considered "weird" or "strange" because if i'm normal like everyone else then i'm just following the trend.
most great things are built on a new precedence or an individuality. no great revolutionary or invented got to where they are by following the crowd.

Anything can be cklassed as 'normal' its a describing word , and everybody has different opinions, therefore anything can be normal.

  • Noir

    ^^

You know the funny thing is that the word "cklassed" is such an abnormal word...I mean if you use only "CK" it would be normal...If you just used "Lass" it would be normal and if you used "Class" it would be normal...

So for you to write "CKLASSED" is really abnormal...Lol.

Normal, a set number of a specific variables (chemistry, biology, behavior) within a single organism that is found to exist in all like organisms. Get in deeper to subtypes, "normal" becomes a little more subjective. Taking into account what is most normal for this particular type may not be normal for others. And they can be very individual without being particularly unique.

Abnormal, something we haven't seen before. Unique unto itself. Having no equal. A really funny plot device in Young Frankenstein.

Nothing is normal. Normal is what is the general conformity at the time, and there never is one since everyone is themselves... so to answer your question, Normal is not anything.
