^^ how can pirates walk on water?! thier fat (most). but i think ninjas in so many ways; they wear black, are like so much cooler than pirates, and plus they shave obviously cuz they have to wear that one thing on thier head, plus they are really quiet so it all makes sense to pick ninjas.

Pirates would not be fat. The exception being maybe the captian of the vessal. Can't really store the most food in the holds if you're anticipating the capture of goods from other vessals. Most pirates would be lean muscle.

You know, I'm a ninja and even I find myself thinking about this a lot. It's a very hard question.
Pirates are strong, familiar with not only swords and knives but also guns, and they also have a familiarity with water.
Ninjas are lithe and agile, and they have amazing fighting skills as well as an ability to handle sharp objects very well.

I think though that in hand-to-hand combat, a ninja would win, but if it was pirates vs ninjas in an all-out battle, the pirates would win.
But the ninjas can never be defeated.
