Confession

by DarkLight   Jun 18, 2015

Forgive me lord,
for I have seen
the monstrous that resides in you.
Anger is an abstract you paint
to hide the cracked heart,
and unaligned emotions that writes tales of a distinct generations.
Fear wears you like a scarf during winter
ready to hang you by the neck.
Yet, I can tell that your heart has been broken not once but more than the number of my fingers.
You wish to cry,
but the voice leaves in shifts and all I can hear is you stammering.

Forgive me lord,
for my confession erases the layers of lies
that makes it impossible for you to fly away,
afraid that truth will rise like rainbow for everyone to see the naked you.
Listen,
Lessen,
Lighten up.
For your secrets are safe with me.

Since you said you wanted criticisms I will give them to you since I normally don't.

First line "lord" should be "Lord" since you're talking about God for both stanzas, besides that I saw nothing wrong with the poem.

The poem itself is interesting to read honestly, it flowed just nicely and keeps someone on their toes. It made me laugh in certain parts but that's cause I have a dark heart.

I think is poem overall was talking about how humanity truly is and if I'm way off forgive me, but this sounds offly like humanity's nature and mannerisms. Either way nice write 5/5

      Thank you Bella Knight.
Sorry I don't wanna sound rude, the word "lord" here does not meant "God" it's just plain. "lord" like boss...
