The dancing silence

by DarkLight   Feb 16, 2021

A soul,
so beat to its foul,
broken and diminished,
like withered leaves left to give back to the soil that birthed it.

In the space between,
a voice in the void cries,
to the spirits that roams the realms.
In hope of another chance,
to rise and dance with the stars.

Yet all sonic fades with time.

So it roams,
listening for a call back,
dancing to the silent imaginable music,
a rescue that never comes.

Still,
the soul lives on.
