My Space Ship.

by J Nair   Oct 26, 2015

At lightning speed I boarded my ship.
And there my journey began.
It's a shiny brand new thing with energy full throttle. [ Birth]
It was difficult to get a hold on, at the onset.
At times I felt it had a life of its own.
Not heeding my word and doing just as it wished. [Infant]

Before I embarked on this journey I had thought
I knew all there is to know and more.
But there I sat so helpless, All my knowledge in vain,
I was starting at the beginning of yet another time game.

There is so much to see and so much to learn
And so much of confusion out there.
Everything is so foreign,
Gestation, communication and navigation.[Initial stages of life]

In my shuttle I kept moving,
From one time zone to another.
And because of its lighting speed I could'nt keep track of its transformation.

That start up problems I left far behind, I had become a genius on this game ride
Eager to test this ship of mine wondering how it would fair against adversities of time.
So many adventures, I have had, so many lessons I learned. [Youth]

And on this journey I came across so many other souls.
Zipping around, in their own designed device.
What an amazing journey, such beauty I explored.
Overwhelming experiences I gathered and stored
To over flow my wealth of knowledge. [Middle Age]

Now that I have touched down on all my time slots,
I wish I could slow down a bit
And cherish this final curve.
But it shall not slow down
Since its gathered momentum.

So here I am hurtling in space.
The transformations, beyond belief.
Weathered and beaten up, bolts coming loose,
My space ship is on its tenther hook- [ Final countdown]

I know I will soon have to give it all up and leave.
But equipped with all that I've learnt.
I shall board a new ship to embark on this journey again.

Jay @26/10/2015 - I think we are all travelers travelling through the passage of time and our body is the shuttle we use to transport us.
[ I have tried to mark the stanzas as each time zone like a mile stone we leave behind on our journey]

In mind, body or soul we always seem to fly out of the window just to get away from reality. In a way it helps us to unwind and deal with present situations...sometimes it also finds us a solution..I can understand this write.

Thank you Meena for giving your comment.

I think i was not able to convey with more clarity about this concept which has been playing in my mind for so long.
The idea of 'I am the soul and I have a body'. It is difficult to relate the 'I' the 'self' as the soul and the physical body with its layers of consciousness as a body at the self's dispossal to do as it please. Probably using it to travel from one time zone to another.
      :)
