The Voice Inside

by ForbiddenSnowflake   Jun 9, 2008

Close your eyes and block out the world around,
Try not to listen, ignore all the other sound.
Breathe the air into your lungs slow,
Keep it in for a bit, don't let it go.
......................................................................
Now release the air nice and steady,
When your relaxed you will be ready.
Keep your eyes closed and open your mind,
You may not expect what you will find.
Listen to your head,
Don't be nervouse, there's nothing to dread.
Hear what that voice has to say to you,
You may be suprised at what it can help you get through.
Remember that voice is for the whole journey, good and bad,
Trust me your not going mad.
It is there to help you through life,
So drop that stupid bloody knife!

Good poem, love the message. It was very smooth, and kept my attention. :D Thanks for the good read. 4/5

Structure of the poem could be more properly formatted, but it was certainly well planed out well.

I think we can all relate to this poem with the inner voice, maybe holding the knife is affective as pointing the finger or speaking direct. You write really well! 5/5
