Writing Disease

by Beautiful Forever   Aug 21, 2008

This isn't right, it just won't do,
I can't write a perfect poem for you,
It's too hard, and it takes so long,
All these words seem to come out wrong,

My thoughts cramp inside my mind,
All these hidden words I can't find,
A burning desire that won't disperse,
I'm stuck writing as if it's a curse,

This disease infiltrates my senses,
Slowing me with each virus it dispenses,
You can't cure something born from desire,
Just like ice melts in the face of fire,

Just when you run out of luck,
You realize that you're love-struck,
Then the world that was asleep all night,
Wakes up your mind with new ideas to write...

`This was my favorite stanza out of all of them. Great word chice, I thought.

Overall, a pretty good poem. I thought the word choice was alright, the flow was good, the puncuation you used commas after each line, I think you should throw a period in there instead of a comma after each sentence, if you understand what I'm saying... Umm other than that.. content was good, 5/5
