My Best Friend Lives In Ohio

by ABake   Sep 16, 2008

My best friend lives in Ohio, not Georgia, Alabama, or Tennessee.
Just Ohio, which as you can guess is really far from me-
We talk every evening, text all morning and afternoon,
Some say that she completes me, I'm her fork and she's my spoon.

She listens to me cry about how life has done me wrong,
I love to hear her laugh, it's like listening to my favorite song.
I'm her little sister that lives over seven thousand miles away;
She's my big sister who will always make everything okay.

We both have been on the bottom, both have been to the top,
But one thing we are sure of, is that our friendship will never stop.
We have our fights and arguements every once in a while-
They never last long, we just know how to make eachother smile.

She's almost nineteen years young, a mere 4 years older than I,
Who cares about age though, we almost always see eye to eye.
Bottom line is my best friend lives in Ohio, one day we will meet,
She will give me a big hug, offer me a salad and ask me to take a seat...

I am in love with this poem. Amber, I saved it on my phone. And I've read it all day today. Over and over again.

And each time I reach the end, I feel like you and I, have such chemistry between us, that no one even knows about.

We can get through anything, if we got through that arguement. :)

    I love you. Muahs.
