Sight of Shelter

by Yakori bint Muhammed   Feb 29, 2012

12th February, 2012.

Time flew with feathers like an eagle,
thus; the car came to a standstill.
Behold me in the precinct of my home.

A revolting reaction twirl in my trunk,
rising up to my baked throat.
In the muggy hour of the sunset.

Drifting towards the verandah,
sprouting plants in their flowerpot;
usher a wintry me to the house.

Silence wrapped me in the sitting room,
every view seems to daunt doleful me.
Resting; mum came to soften embroil nerves of mine.

Walking susceptible me up the winding stair,
she gestures her hand to my spooky room;
a den of direful episodes.

Shadows of yore still gets me musing;
in the angles of this ancient space of luxury.
Masked with brisk whiff of the lush oasis.

Wistful for my fervent instinct to swim;
in the pond of solace to ease my spirit.
Leaves me restless to grill my senses in summer.

Sitting on the olive green bed linen.
Memories sink me in to this chagrin mirage.
Wondering when this prodigy will washout my coast.

Entrap into this fate of torment,
that curses to inhabit my being.
My faith in depth to Him, My Hero.

Consume by His acumen;
I live to salvate my soul.
To exist in the delight of my room forever.
