Words of a Stranger

by Maple Tree   Mar 20, 2012

It's a dark night this evening
soothing smiles fill the air,
feeling a thunderstorm brewing,
I get lost in reading a strangers words.

I can feel the heartbeat pounding
within every syllable expressed
as if the stanzas call out my name,
asking me to feel their emotional agony.

Getting lost along a metaphoric highway
finding myself travelling to the moon and back,
discovering my own identity, as the final
ending pounds at my inner core to become

one with the poet.

Are these strangers aware of the inner peace
they bestow unto me? For not only am I allowed
to express my feelings within a poem, they invite
me into their world of descriptive and intoxicating bliss....

Shocking, you write a poem not about nature and still pull nature in ;) hahahah.

Ohhh this is GORGEOUS! I'm only a little confused as to some of your lines having the I's capitalized (In...Invite etc). I would edit those a little to make it grammatically correct.

Otherwise.. just wow. This is pure, pure beauty - I know you read a TON and you must get a whirlwind of emotion from all the poems you go through.

I really loved this piece mainly because you described how others writing leaves you at peace and lets you see who they are... Amazingly written and enticing :)

Woah how gorgeous is this poem. What I love about this piece is it entices the reader - I felt enticed as soon as I read the first stanza. There was such a beautiful image there especially with the thunderstorm brewing. I love the feeling knowing there is a storm coming, the air seems so poetic as well.

I love how you have described that you get lost in other people's poems. The idea that you become a part of their lives especially when people open up so much and show their vulnerability with their writings.

    AWESOME, AWESOME
