The Muddy Hillside

by Maple Tree   Mar 25, 2012

I often fantasize about
Mary Jane's perfume
mixed with Janice Joplin's
voice defining songs.

Born nine months after
Woodstock, I've always
felt drawn to walk that
muddy hillside of old.

The place where history
was made, babies conceived
and music was far more powerful
than a politicians speech.
