Time [Haiku]

Time flies by like birds,
fleeing the winter, except
it never returns.

I second what Darren says. You made me like a style of poem I don't like ! Very thoughtful! Now if I could just stop wasting my time! I need to get onto doing my taxes now! Wow, what a waste of time that is......

Now this is a good haiku, love the twist at the end that makes it a great piece,
The first two lines follow a well trodden path of nature, discussing birds flying north/south or where ever to migrate.
But the last line is a real wake up call for us all, it is like you are reminding us to make the most of our lives.
Maybe you are telling us all that we take to much for granted and spend our lives coasting in 3rd gear.
We can juxtapose this with the pure effort these birds use and see a real difference.
Great poem and a great message.
