Your words embrace
the loneliness that always
follows me.

my motivation to believe
dissipates within your thoughts.
and everything I understand
is slowly absorbed into
your eyes.

my language is silent
yet you can hear
the words I say.
and when i feel your
life speaking to my soul.

The significance of you
embodies
the person
I thought I knew.

if i only I could see
why this endless search
for truth
has led me to you.
