When I'm Gone

by Beautiful Tragedy   Sep 15, 2013

When I'm gone will you realize what you've done to me?
The scars on my wrist screaming my pain,
When I'm gone will you see the real me?
Hoping I didn't die in vein?

When I'm gone will you blame yourself?
For not seeing through the lies?
Will you regret not seeing the pain?
Not hearing my silent cries?

When I'm gone will you blame yourself?
For my silent suicide?
Or will you walk through the school halls,
Hoping no one will see the regret you hide.

When I'm gone will you realize what you did?
How much you put me through?
With every cruel word you screamed at me,
With every little thing you do.

When I'm gone will you see it?
The pain and the tears I've cried?
When I'm gone will you regret it?
Only because your the reason I died?

When I'm gone will you see it then?
How I only wanted to get through the day,
When I'm gone will you feel it?
The sorrow from you by the grave in which I lay?

When I'm gone only you will see it then,
The shattered heart and broken wing,
That you gave me when you hurt me,
Will you wish you had done something?

The emotion in this piece is well used and a bit overwhelming at points (not a bad thing, just brings life to your piece.) There is a little trouble with the flow in the first two stanzas, but other than that you did a pretty fair job in that realm. The word choice is a little bit weak, but it still gets your point across. All in all you wrote a very decent write. I am glad I found it.
