One hour of your time

by Biancas Veil   Jun 13, 2014

One hour to chat,
We had the most random conversations always something different,
Plenty of laughs as you listened to my stories and I yours.

One hour to pamper,
You always liked to look proper even if you didn't feel the best,
So I painted your frail hands in pearlescent nail polish and rubbed your aching feet.

One hour to love,
Looking at you so strong in mind but not so in body makes me smile at your will not to give up and fight till the end never showing how much it really hurt, you loved our family with fierce passion.

One hour of your time,
That last goodnight kiss and hug is the best thing you have given me,
That one last hour is all I had left to seal you in my mind.

*May you rest peacefully with passed loved ones.

This is beautiful, sad and passionate. It's a great memoir for somebody who passed away and would go very well on there gravestone.

I find it hard to comment on poems such as this because of the nature of them but I just wanted to say that you penned this amazingly, truely, it is pure emotion, raw but perfect. Your love for this person shines through and although it is sad...I have to admit to smiling too, the way you used your vocabulary makes that possible.

    Simply great.

This poem is so heartfelt and raw I can't do any commenting that is long since it's too beautiful and tragic and for a good reason that is so personal I can't comment and break it apart like I normally can it's impossible so here's what I will say: it's emotional, it's dedicated to a family member you loved and love still, never stop loving them for any reason but heal hun 5/5
