ROOTS:

by Scott Cole   Feb 10, 2015

They come from seeds
Or a family-tree,
Because of green thumbs
Or birthdays to be.

A plant or person
Whichever the two,
To grow and survive
Depends mainly on you.

The roots of a seed
Grow down and out,
Making the plant
Stronger and stout.

The roots of a family
Is why you're here,
Growing and multiplying
Throughout the years.

As the roots flourish
For both plants and people,
The foundation is key
Cause looks are deceitful.

The roots of the seed
Sprout and bloom,
And it will spread about
If there's plenty of room.

The roots of a family
Spread from love,
With the passing of
The family's blood.

Yes roots from below
Or roots from within,
To sprout or breed
From dirt or skin.

Roots oh Roots
You do so much,
For growth of life
In you we trust.

This is an amazing poem! Very deep and very thoughtful.
this is the circle of life, and so is the ultimate truth of living.

It is indeed all about roots, and it is from roots that everything living thing come from. The influence of our families and what influence we also leave behind is all connected.

From dirt or skin < that was brilliant,
looks are deceitful, < another amazing line.

    You have great thoughts!
